Taiji Dance or Taijiquan, what is Genuine Taijiquan?
Instead of learning Taiji Dance, you can learn genuine Taijiquan. With 15 minutes of daily practice, you can attain good health, mental clarity, be proficient in self-defense, gain internal force for use in everyday life and even enhance Spiritual Cultivation.
The essence of Taijiquan is to learn and apply the principles of Yin & Yang in everyday life, these are two complimentary yet opposing aspects symbolising our reality.
It is a misconception that Taijiquan is only for health, it is in fact an effective martial art for self defense that also has deeper health benefits for practitioners. By learning genuine Taijiquan and embracing the Yin – Yang principles of the Soft and Hard methods of these opposing principles, the student gets the added bonus to enhance and deepen the skills for Spiritual Cultivation.
When practiced as ‘Taiji Dance’, the health benefits are limited to the lesser gentle physical benefits and not the deeper health, vitality and inner cultivation benefits.
The Shaolin Wahnam teaching is methodical, and gradual and adding both philosophy and application we utilise our Taijiquan Art for Health, Vitality, Mental Clarity, Internal Force and Self defense.
As Taijiquan is a training of body, energy and mind or triple cultivation, we know Imbalance in one or more of these leads to sickness either physically or mentally.
